me and office: pretty and odd things

Setiap hari saat saya datang ke kantor, benda-benda

seperti inilah yang saya lihat. Di pojokan, di lantai

atau di halaman parkir kendaraannya. Saya bersyukur

karena setiap hari mata saya dikejutkan dan dimanjakan

oleh semua hal-hal ini. Selamat bekerja!

Every morning when I arrive at my office these are the

kind of things and creatures that I see. Wonderful,

isn't it? And for the first time in my life I'm in love

with a dog. His name is Chico and he's a daschund.

Saya sudah pernah kesini sebelumnya

walaupun malam hari. Sayangnya waktu

saya kembali kesini walau sedang siang

hari tapi sedang terburu-buru mau makan

siang jadina hanya sempat memotret sedikit

sekali. Ini kantornya KUNCI. Cantik ya!

This one's office was already made me

fall in love from the first time I came although

since it was at night I really look forward to

come back during the day. Unfortunately

when the time came I was in a hurry to grab

a lunch so these are all I could take. It's

KUNCI's office.

me and my office: Episode One

Saya bekerja di sebuah studio fotografi yang juga

membuat sebuah sekolah fotografi gratis di Jakarta. 

Saya akan membuat beberapa postingan tentang

gedung kantor saya ini karena terus terang sampai

sekarang gedung ini belum selesai direnovasi dan

masih ada banyak sekali kejutan-kejutan yang ada

di dalamnya. Ini baru bagian ruang makan dan

dapurnya di lantai dua lho! 

This is my office space since April this year. It's a

two storey photography studio and school that just

finished being renovated although not completely

finished yet. These are the view on the first and 

the second floor especially the dining area. What

do you think?

Sebuah seri karya kolase sebanyak 11 buah

dimana saya menggunakan amplop bekas, perca

wallpaper, perangko dan ilustrasi tangan.

Plus salah satunya yang kemudian dicetak diatas 

kanvas sepanjang 1,5 meter. Ini semua adalah

untuk dekor sebuah kantor periklanan yang baru

saja pindah ke sebuah gedung dari tahun 1970-an

di daerah Jakarta Selatan.

One of the most awesome custom order I had

this year from a friend's that decorate an advertising

agency that just moved to this 1970's building. 

There are 12 pieces with one piece being printed

in a 1,5 meter canvas print as you can see here.

Pagi ini Ruang Rupa cantik sekali.

This is the place where I work once 
a week running this male magazine.
It's also a gallery and artist initiative
called Ruang Rupa. Gorgeous, right?

me and jakarta: old pretty office building

Saya sedang berada di sekitar daerah Kota Tua
tahun lalu untuk sebuah shooting dan menemukan
bangunan kantor yang masih berfungsi ini di
jalan menuju lokasi. Luar biasa ya cantiknya.

This is a really really old building that still
functioning today as an office. I wish I can go
inside on the second floor too. Oh so so grand
and gorgeous!

me and office: monday to wednesday

Saya masih ingat waktu tahun lalu saya masuk
ke dalam ruangan ini untuk bertemu dengan
beberapa teman lama yang dulu sempat berkantor
bersama untuk pertama kali. Siapa yang sangka
sekarang saya sudah setahun berada disana?

It was last year when I first enter this space
to meet with some old friends where I used
to work together years ago. And now I've
been spending three days a week here for
almost a year. Time flies when you're having

Saya sekarang mengerti kenapa banyak orang bertanya
kenapa karya-karya kolase saya ukurannya tidak pernah
besar sekali. Karena ini adalah salah satu karya kolase
saya yang dicetak diatas kanvas sepanjang dua meter
untuk menghias ruang tunggu kantor dimana saya bekerja
beberapa hari dalam seminggu. Memang luar biasa ya
dan bila Anda pun tertarik untuk pesan untuk kolase
dan ukuran yang berbeda silahkan email saya.

This is my two meters canvas print of one of my collages
at the waiting room of the office where I work for a couple
of days a week. Now I understand why so many people 
been asking why I never make a big piece original.
