Saya suka menonton teater. Apalagi teater boneka.
Sejak beberapa tahun terakhir ini saya berusaha
untuk bisa menyaksikan berbagai pertunjukan
teater boneka di Jakarta baik oleh teater dari Indonesia
maupun dari negara lain. Berikut ini beberapa foto
dari pertunjukan teater boneka yang sempat saya saksikan
dari tahun 2009. Cantik-cantik ya!

I love everything about puppet theatre. Not only the 
handmade costumes, vintage props and their amazing
stories but everything else. I have been trying to go
to every single puppet theatre performance in Jakarta
not only from Indonesia but also from other countries.
And these are some of the pictures I took. Enjoy!

me and Yogya: Pasar Beringharjo

Yogyakarta dan segala tentangnya. Selalu saja ada

yang membuatnya senang untuk kembali, lagi 

dan lagi. Setuju? 

These are all the pretty things you can get at

Beringharjo market, Yogyakarta. From hand

colored canvas fabrics, second hands enamels

and compartments, used flour sacks and so so

many more interesting craft supplies!

Ini tampaknya adalah toko vintage paling juara

di seantero Yogya yang saya kunjungi waktu saya

kesana bulan lalu. Tidak ada barang yang biasa 

saja setidaknya untuk saya walaupun harganya

juga tidak biasa saja jadi akhirnya tidak membeli

satupun barang juga:)

You know that one vintage shop where everything

just like everything you like are just there waiting 

to be pick and choose? This one is that kind of

vintage shop that I found in Yogyakarta last month.

Way too many things, way too expensive too.

Saya sama sekali tidak menyangka untuk menemukan

gedung seperti ini di Yogyakarta. Dan saya berhasil

Saya sudah pernah kesini sebelumnya

walaupun malam hari. Sayangnya waktu

saya kembali kesini walau sedang siang

hari tapi sedang terburu-buru mau makan

siang jadina hanya sempat memotret sedikit

sekali. Ini kantornya KUNCI. Cantik ya!

This one's office was already made me

fall in love from the first time I came although

since it was at night I really look forward to

come back during the day. Unfortunately

when the time came I was in a hurry to grab

a lunch so these are all I could take. It's

KUNCI's office.

me and yogyakarta: a house on the hill

Saya sama sekali belum pernah ke daerah Kaliurang
di Yogyakarta. Sehingga waktu suatu pagi Mira dan
Kiki mengajak untuk kesana untuk mencari props
untuk pameran, saya sama sekali tidak memiliki
ekspektasi akan semenarik ini daerahnya dengan
rumah-rumah tua dan barang-barang vintage di dalamnya.

I would never thought an area called Kaliurang near
Yogyakarta would be so interesting! With old buildings,
pretty forests and antique shops. So glad that Mira and
Kiki took me there one morning to pick and choose
the props for my exhibition. Make sure you'll be back

me and Yogya: Beringharjo

Ada satu pojokan jalan di pasar Beringharjo yang akan

selalu saya kunjungi setiap kali lewat sana karena saya

sudah tidak tertarik untuk masuk ke dalam pasarnya.

Sepanjang jalan yang menjual pernak-pernik perunggu,

barang bekas, enamel, tanaman obat dan jamu serta

entah barang-barang menarik lainnya.

Beringharjo market in Yogyakarta must be one of the

most popular market since its located in Malioboro but

I haven't been lose interest to go inside the market itself

since I came back there after 5 years. But I accidentally

found this one small alley outside of it where it sells all

these vintage, second hand and other interesting knick

knacks like these.

me and Yogya: Restoran Cirebon

Ini rasanya seperti kejutan menemukan sebuah 

restoran tua bernama Cirebon di Malioboro.

Makanannya menu Chinese Food biasa,

tapi dekor dalamnya sungguh luar biasa. 

We found this on our last trip to Yogya last

weekend. And old Chinese restaurant at

Yogyakarta's most famous tourist area. 

The food is ordinary but the decor is just

extraordinary. What a surprise!

Di tempat cantik ini saya akan mengadakan

How could you not in love with a shop like this?
