me and weekend: One busy Saturday

Di hari Sabtu ini saya kembali mengingat

beberapa minggu lalu dimana Sabtu saya

sibuk sekali. Ada sebuah pameran besar

yang mesti disiapkan oleh para fotografer

di kantor yang membuat saya sudah mesti

berlarian kesana kemari sejak pagi hingga

malam hari. Saya cinta pekerjaan saya!

Saturday been pretty busy for me for the

last couple of months. Here I would like to

show you one of them when I have to

prepare a big exhibition and workshop

for two photographers in my office that

made me running errand from morning

in such an excitement. Love my job!

me and Yogya: Sayidan Gothic Church

Saya sama sekali tidak menyangka untuk menemukan

gedung seperti ini di Yogyakarta. Dan saya berhasil

menemukan tulisan tentang Sayidan Gereja ini.

me and bogor : it's train station

Saya sudah lama sekali tidak ke Bogor.
Sehingga waktu beberapa akhir pekan lalu
kesana dan menemukan betapa masih cantiknya
stasiun kereta Bogor ternyata, saya berjanji
untuk segera kembali kesana.

I haven't been to Bogor for long and I was
so glad that I finally got the chance a couple
of weekends ago. Never thought they had 
such a pretty old train station too. Should be
back here soon.

me and Yogya: Restoran Cirebon

Ini rasanya seperti kejutan menemukan sebuah 

restoran tua bernama Cirebon di Malioboro.

Makanannya menu Chinese Food biasa,

tapi dekor dalamnya sungguh luar biasa. 

We found this on our last trip to Yogya last

weekend. And old Chinese restaurant at

Yogyakarta's most famous tourist area. 

The food is ordinary but the decor is just

extraordinary. What a surprise!

me and Bandung: Tamara Guesthouse

Saya menemukan guesthouse ini berkat

rekomendasi teman saya yang sebelumnya

memang sudah menginap disini. Di luar 

tampilannya yang kecil sekali di depannya,

di bagian dalamnya sebenarnya sangat besar

dan berlantai dua. Ini hanyalah sebagian

kecil dari detail dekor yang cantik di dalam

kamar yang saya sewa, namun sebenarnya

masih banyak lagi kamar-kamar lain dengan

tema yang berbeda dan sama cantiknya.

I found this old and pretty guesthouse from

a friend's that used to stay when she's in Bandung.

From the outside it looked like a tiny terrace

but when you're inside you'll be amazed on

how big the inside is. It's two floor and contains

so many rooms. Mine is this one but the other

rooms are also as pretty.

me and jakarta: old pretty office building

Saya sedang berada di sekitar daerah Kota Tua
tahun lalu untuk sebuah shooting dan menemukan
bangunan kantor yang masih berfungsi ini di
jalan menuju lokasi. Luar biasa ya cantiknya.

This is a really really old building that still
functioning today as an office. I wish I can go
inside on the second floor too. Oh so so grand
and gorgeous!

me and Saigon: that European nook

Saya sedang berjalan menuju pasar loak
dimana barang-barang bekas tentara Amerika
dijual ketika tidak sengaja melewati jendela-
jendela dan pintu cantik ini. Langsung saya
berhenti dan klik klik! Saigon memang memiliki
sentuhan Perancis yang manis dan mengejutkan
di berbagai sudut kotanya.

I was walking really fast to the flea market
that sells GI's left overs stuff in Saigon one
afternoon when I passes these gorgeous
windows and doors. Oh my! What a surprisingly
pretty thing, right? 

me and shop: Garasi Opa

Teman-teman saya baru saja membuka toko vintage yang
luar biasa ini. Dan dalam waktu seminggu saya sudah kesana
sebanyak dua kali! Lihat mug enamel bunga itu? Saya beli
itu dan tentu saja banyak lagi lainnya. Nantikan foto-foto
perolehan saya lainnya ya!

My friends just opened amazingly awesome vintage shop
in their garage next to their beautiful library. If you go to
Bandung you have to check it out. It has everything my
dream come true vintage shop supposed to be and I just
can't wait to show what I've been scored there! 

me and jakarta: that chinese physician place

Ini ruang praktek sinshe ibu saya di dekat Pasar Glodok. 

Satu hal yang paling menarik waktu masuk ke pojok 

konsultasi ini adalah wangi dan senyapnya. Serta tentu

semua detail di dalam ruangan ini yang begitu tua dan

tampaknya merupakan warisan generasi ke generasi.

Saya juga sempat melongok ke bagian belakangnya 

dimana bahan-bahan obat dipotong-potong sebelum

kemudian diracik sesuai resep sang sinshe. 

This is my mom's chinese physician where I visited

last year for a diagnose. I love everything about this place. 

The smell, the quietness, the old wood, the language

that they speak and I don't understand a word of it and

how affordable this kind of treatment for most people.

And I also get the chance to see the way they chopped

off those dry leaves and wood to be make into some

medications later on by the pharmacists. 

me and old buildings: Sekitar Kota Tua

Satu dari banyak sekali gedung tua yang masih berdiri

gagah di daerah kota Tua dimana saya sempat shooting

untuk sebuah pekerjaan di sekitarnya. Luar biasa ya.

Membayangkan dulu waktu mereka masih ditinggali

dan cantik terurus rasanya hanya bikin hati sedih. 

Some pictures of old buildings around the area where

I use for a shoot a couple of months back. Gorgeous, right?

Oh I will post more pictures around this area that full with

other pretty and abandoned old buildings. Wish the people

in my city are able to take care of them more.

100-150 tahun lamanya? Mudah sekali. 

Been having fun with this  for making your photos
as old as 100-150 years old. Awesome.

me and book: a lithograph book

Buku berbahasa Belanda yang dikeluarkan oleh Nestle ini

saya temukan di tempat yang sama saya memperoleh

majalah-majalah fesyen tua yang cantik-cantik itu. 

Yang membuat saya sangat sangat senang adalah semua

gambar di dalam buku ini masih menggunakan tehnik

litograf yang sudah tidak ada lagi sekarang. 

Just like those gorgeous vintage fashion magazines, I got this

book also in the same place but from different seller. I believe

they all original lithograph made by Nestle in the 50's in Dutch

explaining on everything interesting about Indonesia not only

its wildlife but also some of the local people clothes and all.

Such a delicate and delicious book, indeed.
