me and yogyakarta : KUNCI's office

Saya sudah pernah kesini sebelumnya

walaupun malam hari. Sayangnya waktu

saya kembali kesini walau sedang siang

hari tapi sedang terburu-buru mau makan

siang jadina hanya sempat memotret sedikit

sekali. Ini kantornya KUNCI. Cantik ya!

This one's office was already made me

fall in love from the first time I came although

since it was at night I really look forward to

come back during the day. Unfortunately

when the time came I was in a hurry to grab

a lunch so these are all I could take. It's

KUNCI's office.

me and Yogya: Restoran Cirebon

Ini rasanya seperti kejutan menemukan sebuah 

restoran tua bernama Cirebon di Malioboro.

Makanannya menu Chinese Food biasa,

tapi dekor dalamnya sungguh luar biasa. 

We found this on our last trip to Yogya last

weekend. And old Chinese restaurant at

Yogyakarta's most famous tourist area. 

The food is ordinary but the decor is just

extraordinary. What a surprise!

me and my office: Episode One

Saya bekerja di sebuah studio fotografi yang juga

membuat sebuah sekolah fotografi gratis di Jakarta. 

Saya akan membuat beberapa postingan tentang

gedung kantor saya ini karena terus terang sampai

sekarang gedung ini belum selesai direnovasi dan

masih ada banyak sekali kejutan-kejutan yang ada

di dalamnya. Ini baru bagian ruang makan dan

dapurnya di lantai dua lho! 

This is my office space since April this year. It's a

two storey photography studio and school that just

finished being renovated although not completely

finished yet. These are the view on the first and 

the second floor especially the dining area. What

do you think? 

me and Bandung: Tamara Guesthouse

Saya menemukan guesthouse ini berkat

rekomendasi teman saya yang sebelumnya

memang sudah menginap disini. Di luar 

tampilannya yang kecil sekali di depannya,

di bagian dalamnya sebenarnya sangat besar

dan berlantai dua. Ini hanyalah sebagian

kecil dari detail dekor yang cantik di dalam

kamar yang saya sewa, namun sebenarnya

masih banyak lagi kamar-kamar lain dengan

tema yang berbeda dan sama cantiknya.

I found this old and pretty guesthouse from

a friend's that used to stay when she's in Bandung.

From the outside it looked like a tiny terrace

but when you're inside you'll be amazed on

how big the inside is. It's two floor and contains

so many rooms. Mine is this one but the other

rooms are also as pretty.

Saya sedang berada di sekitar daerah Kota Tua
tahun lalu untuk sebuah shooting dan menemukan
bangunan kantor yang masih berfungsi ini di
jalan menuju lokasi. Luar biasa ya cantiknya.

This is a really really old building that still
functioning today as an office. I wish I can go
inside on the second floor too. Oh so so grand
and gorgeous!

me and traveling: surabaya

Sore yang cerah sekali waktu saya berjalan di

sepanjang jalan Gembong di Surabaya yang

merupakan salah satu pasar loak yang ada disana.

Walaupun tidak terlalu berharap mendapatkan

sesuatu yang menarik, tapi ternyata saya mendapatkan

banyak sekali barang-barang luar biasa!

I was in Surabaya for one night after years never

been there and I should say that I was so glad

I decide to go there because apart of they have

amazing flea markets and old buildings, the market

and the food are just so good!

there is no such a thing called ordinary flea

Tidak pernah ada barang dan pemandangan yang sama 

setiap kali kita ke pasar loak walaupun itu pasar loak

yang sama. 

Nothing stay the same at a flea market no matter you

come there several times a week. Oh what a magical

place! Yes, those are crystals chandelier hang on trees:)

more of that old three storey buildings

Masih ingat lantai dua  rumah tua ini? Sekarang saya akan

memperlihatkan bagian depan serta beberapa furniture tua

yang dijual di lantai satu di sebelah toko barang antik mereka.

Sama cantik-cantiknya tentu saja. 

This is the second post on that gorgeous old house in

Semarang that I came to visit last month. These are the

front side building and some old furniture they sell

on their vintage furniture shop downstairs. Aren't they

just so pretty?

In search of a perfect frame

Ini adalah beberapa karya original kolase yang akhirnya berhasil

saya temukan bingkai bekas yang pas untuk mereka. Mungkin

banyak yang sudah tahu kalau saya selalu lebih senang membingkai

karya-karya original saya dengan bingkai bekas atau antik sehingga

memang kadang lama sekali sampai sebuah karya kolase saya 

akhirnya menjadi sebuah karya yang selesai.

I always believe that my art is finished when I found them 

a perfect kind of frame. I tend to pick second hand or vintage

frames for most of my pieces therefore it could take so long

for a piece to finished. And just yesterday that I could find the

time to take pictures of some finished pieces.

A Shoe Maker Shop

Saya tidak pernah ke sebuah toko sepatu dalam artian toko
pembuat sepatu hingga minggu lalu. Sebuah toko sepatu dan
tas kulit imitasi kecil di sebuah jalan berkelok. Luar biasa
sekali isinya ternyata dan saya jadi ingin pergi ke pembuat-
pembuat sepatu lainnya disini.

I have never been to any shoe maker shop before and how I
love everything about it! The tools, the machines, the fake
leather, the workers and all those piles and piles of wood
feet forms!
